Shackin’ Up

Hooray!  First post!  Welcome to Our Cozy Cubbyhole.  First things first: why the blog?  To that I say: why not?  :)  In October of 2011, my boyfriend, Walker, and I moved into a one bedroom garden apartment in Los Angeles, California. Not only do we have two sets of stuff and different styles, but we also have an adorable dog (Bo) to fit into our fairly small place. I wanted to share our adventure of two renters making a small apartment feel like home for our little family.

So now that that’s out of the way, I’d like to kick things off with a sentimental little project idea I saw in one of our friends’ homes that is perfect for our introductory post. It’s a shadow box with a a copy (duh) of our apartment key. Hopefully someday it will be joined by others.  It sounds silly but it reminds us that this apartment may be small, but it’s ours! Welcome to our home.
