We had a wonderful time celebrating our little birthday boy this weekend! Hank is the sunniest moon baby around - always happy, smiling, and saying hi to everyone! ☀️🌙✨

Our boy has jumped up into the 88% percentile in height and 78% in weight so he is growing like a champ… going to be tall like his dad and sister! He has two teeth, still working on growing some hair (getting some cute blonde whisps in the back though!), and talking up a storm. He walks around holding onto things all day long and will test out letting go but has yet to take a step or balance with no hands for too long. He is a busy boy, always on the move, and will be walking in no time! He’s our adventurous eater with a cheerful spirit!

And I couldn’t photo dump for Hank without doing the same for our Junebug! Juniper is a sweet, fun, creative, sensitive, sassy, busy little girl! She has been the best big sister to Hank, even though he’s on the move and starting to mess with all of her stuff now! 😉😬

Juniper is always reading, coloring or doing crafts, playing outside, or acting out her favorite movies (she’s got a flair for the dramatic)! She’s got some silly dance moves and a beautiful imagination! Our little bookworm says when she grows up, she wants to work at the library, just like (and with) dad. 💕

I know I have been totally M.I.A. this year, but truthfully, social media has seemed more like a chore than a joy to share so I simply stepped away for a while in this busy season of life. However, I have been feeling like sharing again so here is a fun photo dump!

It starts with a sneak peek of Hank’s nursery, which is still not done haha! We retired his (secondhand) mini crib about a month ago so I finally snapped a few photos before I packed it away today! Plus I added a photo from earlier with his adorable (also secondhand) bassinet… he’s grown so much and I can’t believe he used to fit in that! 😍❤️🌿

Next are Hankie Bear’s 9 month photos! He’s getting so big! He is the happiest boy and always has a smile on his face! He absolutely loves to eat and jumped from 3% to 54% for weight when he started solids. Woohoo! He says mama, dada, and nee-nee (Junie) plus a constant assortment of other fun sounds. He can army crawl at the speed of lightning and loves to stand up holding on to things (though he hasn’t pulled himself up to that position yet). His laugh is infectious, his body is in constant motion, and he looks at his sister like she is the sun and moon! ❤️

Finally, since I am such a slacker, the rest are his older monthly pictures that I never posted! 😂 it’s so fun to swipe and see him grow!

Our little bear turned 5 months this week! ❤️💚

He absolutely LOVES eating solid food and has yet to find something he dislikes. He’s tried avocado, butternut squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, and peas.

We are slowly emerging from the 4 month sleep regression, which hit us hard! He is finally starting to take longer naps, and the night wakings are less frequent.

Hank continues to be the happiest, smiliest little boy, and we absolutely adore his cheerful temperament! Trying to soak up every minute of his very first Christmas season! 🎄

Four months with Hankie boy! We are a few days late but it has sure been a fun month. 💙

He had his 4 month check up on Monday and is healthy & strong! He was 13.5lbs and the doc gave him the go ahead to start testing out solid foods (so much earlier than with June - new research I guess!). So he had just first taste of avocado last night and loved it! 🥑😋

He has also definitely mastered rolling from back to stomach, as we found him on his tummy looking around in his crib after every nap yesterday!
..
This age is so fun… so smiley and giving us real laughs! His personality really starting to develop, and boy is he sweet!

It’s been a big week around here! Hank turned three months old, and it was my first full week back at work. Our maternity leave and fourth trimester have ended, and the feeling is so bittersweet! I absolutely love seeing his little personality coming to life and all of us are generally getting more sleep (most nights!), but it’s also so hard to believe that the newborn days are already behind us! How is it possible to want to simultaneously go backwards, pause time now, and frolic forward all at the same time?!

All of that being said, I forgot how much I love this three month mark! Henry is so much fun! He is so smiley, chatty, chill, interactive, and getting stronger by the day. He is even getting close to rolling from tummy to back! We also get some super cute chuckles but can’t wait for that real, heart-melting belly laugh!

10 weeks with this beautiful boy! We bought a secondhand mini crib today (to use in our room) because he is quickly outgrowing his beloved Moses basket! 😭 I think we can squeeze a few more weeks out of it before it retires as storage!

Also, we haven’t made much progress on the nursery, but you can sort of get the vibe I am going for in this pic! ❤️🌿👶🏻
